North Valley Vineyards has historical roots that reach back over twenty years of bottled history in Oregon, yet is enjoying a newly established vitalization today. Headed by Winemaker and Vineyard Manager, James Cahill, North Valley Vineyards includes two, Estate vineyards in key sub-appellations of the Willamette Valley, as well a suite of satellite vineyards sources from other, highly esteemed area growers. The focus is on Pinot Noir, and on the expression of the terroirs from the qualitative, Northern part of this vaunted region, though Chardonnay continues to become central as well, crafted in a chiseled, linear style, the full portfolio of wines rounded out with some lovely, dry Rose. James has more than two decades of harvests under his belt, with noteworthy, prior engagements spent with area icons including Beaux Freres, Elk Cove, and Soter Vineyards' Mineral Springs Ranch, the latter of which James himself planted with Tony Soter back in 1999.
