Founded by Masters of Wine Andreas Kubach and Sam Harrop, Península Vinicultores is based on the values of authenticity, competitiveness, and transparency.
With our head office based in Madrid, we manage all aspects of viticulture, vinification, production, and sales for both family-owned estates Bodegas Fontana in Cuenca, Bodega Bideona in Rioja Alavesa, and the Península Wines project. At each estate, we produce the styles of wine that best define that region, making wines worth drinking.
Bideona produces terroir-driven, site-specific wines from historic, low-yielding vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. We cultivate about 300 parcels of incredible vineyards in the villages of Villabuena de Álava, Samaniego, Laguardia, Leza, Baños de Ebro, Navaridas, Lanciego and Elciego. The average vineyard size is around 0.3 ha and the average age around 50 years old, with many parcels planted in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. We offer elegant wines that are profound, fresh, precise and age-worthy; wines that reflect the landscapes, villages and vineyards in the glass.
